Graphic Design

Graphic design is used in almost every aspect of media these days. It is basically the creative process used to convey a specific message, or messages, to a target audience. It can refer to lots of different things that are present in media, such as a stop sign or the way in which a website is designed. Each has been carefully constructed to convey meaning to a target audience, the idea of which is often very precise and detailed.

The term graphic design usually refers to both the designing, or the process of which the message is created, and the designs, or products, which are subsequently created. As such, someone known as a graphic designer will often contribute to both the design and the physical creation of a client’s idea.

There are many common uses of graphic design, including advertisements, branding and logos, and product packaging. One of the most important aspects to consider in graphic design is the composition of the piece. This is especially true when pre-existing materials or diverse elements are being used, such as two different pictures.

Graphic design is basically the enhancement of the transfer of knowledge. It can be used to simplify, such as in a road sign, or to give full, complex workings, such as in a technical diagram. In modern society, it has become an indispensable tool in which to communicate with each other, often in a very global and wide reaching way.
